Welcome to Livingston Cottage, your home away from home. The cottage is named after the homes original owners, Alec and Olive who lovingly tended to the property.
The Cottage is fully appointed with everything you will need for your stay. The kitchen has a family sized fridge and freezer, oven, stove top, soda stream, facilities for tea and coffee and is fully kitted out with pots, pans, crockery and utensils to enable you to cook with ease. Help yourself to a lemon from the lemon tree, a homage to the glory days of Alec’s productive garden. In addition we provide many of the basic consumables not usually found in a short term rental – think olive oil, glad wrap and good quality washing detergent.
Enjoy the full sized loungeroom and dining room, with water views from the front of the property. If you’re having a night in, you can easily connect your streaming services via Google Chromecast.
Enjoy a morning coffee from the comfortable chairs nestled in the back porch. The separate laundry has a washer and dryer, along with an iconic Australian Hills Hoist clothesline. There is off street parking for one vehicle.
We know what it’s like travelling with young children; the Cottage comes with a small cot, change table, Bumbo baby seat and baby bath, making travelling and settling in with your little one easier.
If you’re heading out and about it’s a 10 minute drive to Hobart CBD. The Cottage is located 15 minutes from Hobart International Airport. There are easy public transport options too, with buses running regularly from outside the Cottage to the CBD, taking only 17 minutes, or take an Uber for (usually) less than $20.
The local Lindisfarne village is a 5 minute walk or a 1 minute drive down the road where you’ll find a Woolworths supermarket, bakery, bottle shop, chemists and cafes. Additionally there are some great options for walks during your stay – down by the water along the Esplanade, or if you’d like a hike into bushland you can circle Gordon’s Hill.
