Positive: A clean compact tidy cabin in a private garden setting that was an easy short drive from Otorohanga - we were enroute to Auckland . Some handy provisions included breakfast supplies and a delicious homemade granola. A bowl of fresh feijoas were an added bonus! We didn’t see the owners but the directions were clear and helpful and a number of signs led us to the cabin. A lovely garden walkway had fairy lights to show the way. I’d prefer this et up over a main road motel any day. Owners kindly recommended a local bar ‘ the thirsty weta’ to eat at where we enjoyed a meal and drink, slow food service but friendly young staff doing their best.

Negative: The first 40 winks sign would have been easier to see if some lights on it- we arrived after dark, and personally I’d prefer cotton sheets. Some bedside reading lights would also be appreciated

Summary: Clean compact cabin which does exactly as described- a comfy forty winks with added bonus supplies.
