Just 250m from the lakefront reserve at Rainbow Point, Three Mile Bay, this 1970's classic is a delight. Nestled in a quiet cul de sac and bathed in all day sun, this iconic piece of Kiwiana offers all the charms of 1970's family holiday fun - deck, BBQ and table tennis table - awesome!
Easy to find, and easy to relax, this property features items of original designer furnishings from the 50's, 60's and 70's. If you are a fan of mid-century design, this wee Bach will impress.
A lovely homely 1970's property, with a touch of old, comfortable, new - a bit of a mix and match really! It is NOT a modern luxury home - it is nearly 50 years old with precious classic furniture from the mid-century. It is a privately owned holiday home that we like to share with others - enjoy! 1 queen bed, 2 single beds upstairs. Downstairs - three single beds (external access only). Sleeps 7 total.
Access is available to the two floors of the house, carport and grounds. Three single beds, laundry, table tennis table, books and games are downstairs in the rumpus room - access to this is via external stairs i.e. NO internal access to this room. No access to the garage/boatshed.
Typically a very quiet area, not a party place really!
Not suitable for small children due to large windows, not fully fenced, balcony and external stairs.
Fire is not available.
No Wi-Fi.
The couch in the lounge does NOT fold out into a bed!
Furnishing are original designer pieces from the 50's, 60's and 70's - we ask that you treat them with the respect they deserve.

This is a family home in a quiet residential area, not suitable for large groups of adults. Disruption to the neighbours will not be tolerated.
When making a request please include information on the age range of the guests intending to stay and plans for while you are in Taupō. Please note we may contact you for more information on behalf of our owners.
All bookings are accepted on the basis that you have read, understand, and agree to abide, and be bound, by the Terms and Conditions and House Rules.
GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES
If we are notified of parties or illegal activity you will be evicted and are liable for any damages to the property. We have a strict no party policy (large groups, hens, stags etc.) and do not allow functions or large gatherings.
The guest named on the booking is responsible for the property for the duration of the stay and must take all reasonable care of the house. Respect for neighbours regarding noise and cars must be considered, we reserve the right to terminate the contract without refund if we receive complaints.
All guests are your responsibility so please take care and parental supervision is required for all children at all times, especially around stairs, balconies, water and fires. The holiday home is not to be used as a function venue, events or activity that involve a larger number of people than stated on the maximum occupancy.
All homes are privately owned, please treat them with respect and if an incident/damage happens, report it ASAP so it can be repaired or replaced. For damages be aware that your credit card will be charged for the repair or replacement plus a 10% handling fee.
All properties must be left reasonably clean and tidy, ensuring all furniture and appliances are returned to where they were on arrival. You will have paid a compulsory cleaning fee which covers a general service clean. If the property requires extra cleaning, you could be charged an additional $40.00 per hour for this.
If you use a BBQ it must be left clean, if not a $40.00 fee will be charged for cleaning.
ALL rubbish must be removed from throughout the property on your departure; failure to do this will result in a minimum charge of $40.00 for labour and council disposal fees. Some homes allow up to ONE bag of rubbish to be left as part of the clean fee, specific property instructions will be at the home for you.
The property must be left secure and safe upon your departure. Please check all windows, doors and appliances including heaters, electric blankets, elements, and sockets before you leave the property.
