Positive: Lovely and comfortable accommodation with great facilities including garden with table and chairs. Log burner was great on the rainy day. Enjoyed walks around the estate and to the beach straight from the door with no need for our dog to be on the lead. Friendly, welcoming, and helpful hosts. Didn't have time for tennis but table tennis was good fun. Very peaceful area with nice quiet roads. Lovely trips to the lighthouses at both Corsewall and Mull of Galloway.

Negative: Not a fabulous choice in terms of great restaurants open midweek nearby (but plenty of options within 10-15 mins drive). Only pub within walking distance closed 3 out of 4 nights, but takeaway fish and chips from The Blue Peter was a good option on our last night.

Summary: Ideal choice for a lovely, relaxing short trip
