While Red Rock Hut encourages you to disconnect and unwind, we understand the importance of staying connected. That's why we provide fast Starlink internet access, allowing you to be as connected or disconnected from the world as you like.
Red Rock Hut is situated on 32 acres of ocean-front property on the west coast of King Island and guests can enjoy private direct access to the beach with diving and snorkelling spots (southern rock lobsters and black and greenlip abalone are found here - a Tasmanian Recreational licence is required for those who wish to take on-shore).
Immerse yourself in the tranquil ambiance as you relax with in the west-facing outdoor deck hammock, soaking in stunning sunset views and the company of curious wallabies roaming nearby. On clear evenings, the sounds of the crashing waves sets the perfect backdrop for stargazing while enjoying a glass of wine by the fire pit. The Hut features a cedar wood-fired hot tub which comfortably seats 2-4 people and a cedar wood barrel sauna with panoramic viewing dome making it the ultimate place of relaxation.
Prepare gourmet meals in the fully equipped 'tiny' kitchen, with high quality appliances including a two-ring gas burner, full-sized oven, fridge/freezer, Smeg barista coffee machine, toaster, and kettle. With access to King Island's renowned beef, crayfish, and cheese, you'll have the finest local produce at your fingertips. Dine indoors at the fold-out dining table or savor your meals al fresco on the expansive deck, complete with an outdoor dining table and a Weber BBQ for your culinary delights.
Retreat to the cozy bedroom, where a queen-sized bed in luxurious 1000 thread count sheets awaits. A small wardrobe, along with an iron and ironing board, is provided for your convenience.
Refresh yourself in the bathroom, equipped with a shower boasting excellent water pressure. Pamper yourself with plush Sheridan towels and indulge in the luxury soaps, shampoos, and conditioners provided. Red Rock Hut takes pride in its sustainable practices and the Hut uses a Clivus Multrum™ CM8 waterless split-system compostable toilet which uses no chemicals and is designed to compost, save water and preserve the local environment. After each use, it may be required to add a small amount of the provided bulking agent into the toilet to assist with its compostability.

The Hut has zero reliance on mains infrastructure and generates its own solar power from solar panels nearby. The Hut collects freshwater from a natural spring nearby and waste is recycled in an environmentally and sustainable manner.
