The Space:
The whole apartment carries a quality of finish that's sophisticated, elegant and bright — with pale greys and off-white finishes throughout, tile flooring, framed artwork, and soft bedroom carpets.
The first of the two bedrooms is a master ensuite room, with a comfortable kingsize bed with large soft plush headboard, two bedside tables, a mirrored sliding wardrobe with hanging space and shelving, smart TV, vanity table & stool, and a window with venetian blinds. The modern ensuite shower room, features a large walk-in shower, toilet, heated towel rail, and basin.
The next bedroom is a twin single room, set-up primarily for children or teens, and features two wooden single beds either side, a bean bag, and a chest full of games. There's also a large sliding wardrobe with a chest of drawers within, and plenty of hanging space, and blinded window.
The main living space is a lovely modern and bright open room with large sliding doors opening on to its sea-view balcony. A trendy solid wooden table with bench seating and padded upholstered chairs sits to one side for dining.
A lounge area occupies the corner near the balcony, and comes with a pair of pale blue small sofas, a large smart tv with speaker sound system, a couple of lounge lamps, and a cosy rug underfoot.
The gorgeous slate gloss cupboard and white granite worktop finished kitchen features a small breakfast bar with a couple of stools, integrated appliances (including a fridge freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine) and on the worktop, an induction hob & electric oven, microwave, toaster and kettle.
The delightful balcony features a small wooden table and chairs set, perfect for enjoying the sea breeze and sun.
In the hallway is a full family bathroom, complete with a bathtub, overhead shower and screen, WC, and basin.
There's also two handy storage cupboards off the hallway containing a cordless vacuum, clothes airer, beach games, a picnic blanket, and some beach essentials including an umbrella, portable chairs and a windbreaker.

The Neighborhood:
Laidback Southbourne is a pleasant escape from the busyness of Bournemouth down the road, and is ideally located for many other Dorset coastal attractions too. Hengistbury Head, Mudeford, Avon, and Highcliffe beaches lie to the east, and the beaches of Boscombe, Bournemouth, Sandbanks, and the legendary Jurassic Coast — to the west.
The Southbourne Grove area, with its many shops, bars and eateries, is within easy reach. The coastline at Southbourne is a 5-minute walk from the apartment. The beach is Blue Flag awarded for cleanliness and is long and wide, perfect for families and the ideal place to spend the day, year round. There’s also lifeguards during peak season for safety, and a few eateries dotted along.
There are some gorgeous walks along the promenade, whichever way you choose. Hengistbury Head nature reserve is accessible on foot or bikes, and makes for a great day out direct from the apartment — if you continue around this headland it leads you to Mudeford Sandspit and its iconic beach huts. Mudeford sandspit can also be accessed via ferry from the Avon Beach Mudeford Car Park.
To the north-east of the apartment, The New Forest is fairly close by — with its gorgeous towns and villages dotted throughout, and incredible scenery and wildlife. Lymington Town runs its own weekly Saturday market along its long high street and is well worth a visit. Christchurch is another historic coastal town and lovely area to explore.
Heading west from SOBO Beach takes you to the cliffs at Boscombe Beach and to the many famous seafronts at Bournemouth. Further west is the upmarket Sandbanks, with its stunning sandy beach. A car ferry from here takes you to Studland — showcasing an incredible wild bay stretching miles to Swanage — and providing easy access to the beautiful Isle of Purbeck peninsula and Corfe Castle. RSPB Arne and Poole Harbour are further attractions in this area. Continuing along Dorset is the incredible Jurassic Coast stretching West from Swanage.
Getting Around:
A car is not needed, and much of the local attractions are accessible on foot or bike.
The nearest train station to the apartment is Christchurch or Pokesdown Station on the South Western Railways network, connecting you west to Bournemouth, Poole & Weymouth, and north/east to Southampton, Woking & London.
There is an extensive local bus network running from Bournemouth to Southbourne, and from Christchurch to Southbourne.
A car can give you access to further amazing coastal areas, including Sandbanks, Studland Bay, and the Jurassic Coast, as well the beautiful scenery heading north into The New Forest or along the coast to Lymington.
