Villa Bella Verde stands on a beautiful 5 acres tropical garden on the hills overlooking Lake Arenal and Monteverde National Park. It enjoys an ideal climate of 80ºF during the day and 65ºF in the evening, with a soft, refreshing breeze all day long.
The house was designed to enjoy lake and mountain views from each of the three bedrooms and the lounge.

Summary: The property had amazing views. The best part was waking up in the morning to the sound of birds and other wild life and having chef prepared breakfast :) Some reviews did mention the bugs: you're in nature; it's expected and you get used to it and they do have pest control. No AC, but they provided fans and it was comfortable. Place is MUCH larger than the pictures. Highly recommend hiring James to cook for you!! We had him prepare breakfast daily! He's amazing and it makes getting started with your day easier. Home has washer & Dryer. Was a life saver on the rainy day adventures we had. The drive to town or to any attractions is about 30-35 minutes through narrow, windy mountain roads, and it dark at 5:30, so keep that in mind. We were not prepared and I may have selected somewhere closer to 'town' for our first visit to the La Fortuna area in order to explore La Fortuna, which we didn't get a chance to do. Also, getting up to the home isn't as bad as some reviews said (IMO). It was raining and dark when we arrived; we had a 9 passenger VAN, and while we did struggle for a second, we made it up. It's only the first time up that's a bit daunting. Overall, we were very happy and it was worth it for size of home and VIEWS and I would definitely stay there again and explore the area more. FYI: There are a few small restaurants just down the main driveway from home as well as a small market, that surprising had everything we needed; even medication.
