Stunning windows, cathedral ceilings and a luxurious super king bed, creates a romantic and private escape. A baby cot/bedding can be requested if needed for $15, payable onsite. The heated outdoor pool will be available from the end of November until the end of April, please let us know if you would like pool towels. Located just off the main route, you'll love the snow-capped mountains seen down our road in winter and the coast can be seen en-route. Set in the grounds of Kingsdown Manor, in Spring or Summer you can stroll in the pretty wedding garden. There is enough parking for 2 cars, even a caravan or trailer, set back from view behind the Manor, just let us know if you need extra parking for a trailer. Please note there are a dozen or so stairs up to the suite and your bathroom is on the ground floor so this is not suitable for those needing wheel chair access. A commercial kitchen is available with kitchen equipment supplied. A Nespresso machine and continental breakfast sets you up for the day and beautiful re-mineralised and filtered water is supplied. Only 2 mins down the road you can access the coast via Ellis road, and do a quick walk along to the Jacks Point Lighthouse. There are many excellent restaurants and cafes to choose from just a few minutes up the road in Timaru. We love to have brunch at Harlau House cafe as it is close by and serves freshly made food and is open from Wednesday to Sunday. For a quick takeaway we like to order from Pareora Takeaway and is perfect to grab your groceries from including frozen meals, fish bait and personal items. There is excellent fishing in the area and a quick day trip to the Oamaru Steam Punk Museum Or Riverstone Castle, 45 minutes away, (bookings are recommended for the restaurant). A 1 hour 20 minute drive to Lake Tekapo, a truly stunning Alpine lake with fascinating stops in Fairlie for a famous pie at the bakehouse and Burkes pass with icecreams and quirky shops have all become favourite excursions for our guests. You will enjoy your own private entry and lockbox to check yourselves in after 2pm. Timaru's Stafford Street has some great shopping and Caroline Bay is an excellent swimming beach and there are often events in the park, with a superb children's playground and large aviary. If you have an infant and you need bedding and high chair please let us know and there is a small $15 fee. The Saturday Artisan Farmer's market each weekend, in George Street, has a great selection of hand made or grown goods, and local entertainment makes it a fun way to spend the morning. Kingsdown Manor stands out with its iconic turret, chapel and high pitched roofline, and is easily spotted as you head south from Timaru.
