Camp Glenorchy is New Zealand's first Net Zero Energy Retreat & Cabins.
It's part of The Headwaters, an inspiring revitalisation of classic camping, cabins, group gathering and retail services in the Glenorchy community. At the end of a beautiful 40-minute drive up the scenic shores of Lake Wakatipu you'll find Camp Glenorchy nestled near the base of the towering Richardson and Humboldt mountains.
Here natural beauty surrounds you, both in the unforgettable landscape and in the warmth of the people of Glenorchy. Whether you're seeking time in the outdoors, memorable adventures, or some quiet time away, Camp Glenorchy is designed to inspire our visitors and guests.
We are looking forward to your stay with us at Camp Glenorchy / Mrs Woolly's Campground, and we're pleased to confirm your booking with a deposit of one night of your accommodation cost. The remaining balance is due on your arrival. We also require valid credit card details to hold against our cancellation policy (as well as any unpaid incidental charges or damage to the property incurred during your stay).
If your plans change for some reason, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible. As a small business in a remote rural setting, cancellations are often not easily re-booked.
CHECK-IN
Check-in time is 2pm. No room is guaranteed available until that time. If arriving prior to this time, we are happy to hold your bags for you until your room is available. If you must check-in before 2pm, please contact us to see if this is feasible; you may need to reserve the room from the previous day to ensure its availability. All guests are required to complete the registration documentation on arrival. Due to the special characteristics of our property, the check-in process may take longer than usual. Please allow 10 to 15 minutes to help us offer you the best experience.
CHECK-OUT
Check-out time is 10am, and rooms must be fully vacated by this time. If you wish to extend your stay, please confirm availability with Guest Services by 2pm the day prior; due to previous bookings, guests wishing to extend their stay may be required to move rooms. In order to prepare the room for our coming guests, any personal belongings left within a room after check-out time will be carefully removed and stored. Check-outs after 10am may be available at an additional charge. Please contact Guest Services prior to check-out time to confirm availability for a late check-out.
LATE ARRIVALS
Guests should advise Guest Services of late arrivals (after 9pm) to receive instruction on how to retrieve your room key. All guests are required to complete the registration documentation on arrival, agreeing to the above terms and conditions. In order to accommodate late arrivals and ensure agreement with the above Terms and Conditions, a copy of these Terms and Conditions will be included in late arrival instructions.
NON-SMOKING POLICY
At Camp Glenorchy and Mrs Woolly's Campground, we ask that you respect our non-smoking policy in all accommodations, common areas and buildings on site, and within the Camp public areas. Guests agrees that a $300 cleaning fee will be charged to the credit card on file for guest rooms where smoking has occurred.
CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS:
Please note that a 2.5% transaction fee applies for any payments made via credit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Union Pay)
AGE OF GUESTS
Any guest making a booking must be over 18 years of age and all/any guests unaccompanied by a parent or guardian must also be over 18 years of age. Childs under the age of 3 at the moment of booking are classed as infants and stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
FORCE MAJEURE
Camp Glenorchy and Mrs Woolly's Campground accepts no liability where these terms & conditions are affected by 'force majeure' (certain circumstances beyond our control arise, making performance inadvisable, commercially impractical, illegal, or impossible).
LIABILITY
On occasion and due to circumstances beyond our control, certain features or facilities may not be available and for this we accept no liability. In addition, Camp Glenorchy and Mrs Woolly's Campground do not accept liability for any injury, loss or damage to the guest or their possessions, any member of the guest's party or any visitor with the party, arising out of or in connection with the use of the property.
A NOTE ON OUR TERMS & CONDITIONS
Our cancellation terms are non-negotiable and for your own protection, we recommend guests purchase travel insurance. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any reservation or booking made directly with us or via a third party. We are not obliged to justify any refusal or cancellation but will refund any deposit paid if, due to circumstances beyond our control, the accommodation or site we've reserved for you becomes unavailable or unfit for use, we will notify you as soon as possible and a refund of your deposit will be made in full.
