This renovated historic bush hut is surrounded by attractive native bush, wildlife and the Ringarooma River. This simple hut is perfect for bush walkers, fly-fishers, cyclists and all nature lovers. You can truly get away for an immersive nature experience.The hut sits above a 36-acre alpaca farm close to the small timber town of Branxholm in North East Tasmania. The hut is fully self-catering and suitable for up to four adults travelling together. There is minimal privacy in this studio-style hut. Four bunk-style beds, bed linen and towels are provided.The bathroom with toilet, shower and washing machine is in an unattached building. In addition to full kitchen facility there is an outside BBQ area and fire pit. Power is generated by an on site micro-hydro, supplemented by solar PV and battery storage. Water is supplied from rain-water tanks and a nearby creek.There are quiet bush trails to explore, including a trail through an old alluvial tin mine site. The river is suitable for swimming, fly fishing and kayaking. Two kayaks, a fire pit and a bush BBQ (on the river bank) are provided for your use. Firewood is provided for the BBQs and fire pits.
