Braemar 0.5 miles; Close to Braemar in the National Cairngorms Park in the north of Scotland, is this attractive and spacious holiday home, Drumrunie. Ideal for families, Drumrunie is the perfect destination and is the most wonderful base from which to explore the local area. Standing in extensive grounds which are safe for kids and animals to run around, there is even a children's play area which means the grown-ups get to chill out in peace knowing the children are safe and happy playing in the garden. The outdoor dining area and barbecue lend themselves to alfresco eating and drinking and guests can while away many happy hours here. On entering the house, visitors are greeted by an inviting sitting room complete with solid wood flooring, an expansive seating area and attractive soft furnishings with a beautiful woodburning stove forming an elegant focal point to the space. Step into the stylish dining area where the rustic dining table is all set up ready to go for long, relaxing meals where you can enjoy quality time with the family. Leading off from here is the charming kitchen which is comprehensively fitted and a really enjoyable space in which to create delicious food to feed the whole family. From here you can recline in comfort in the bright and airy conservatory which boasts stunning rural views If you want another area in which to relax and chill out then why not take a seat in the drawing room in front of the warming fire? The ground-floor bedroom is easily accessible and upstairs there are two king-size bedrooms both with TVs, as well as a twin, a double and a children's bedroom complete with cool bunk beds, so there is a bedroom for everyone. Waking up at Drumrunie is a real pleasure and guests can't wait to get out and about to discover the delights available in the region. On offer locally as well as fishing, there is Braemar Golf Course which is allegedly the highest and most dramatic golf course in Scotland. You can go skiing in Glenshee within a short drive and the local town of Braemar is well worth a visit and is just a few minutes away in the car and boasts a good selection of shops, cafes and restaurants. A lovely day out from the house is the city of Perth which has some fantastic attractions. A family holiday to remember for a lifetime awaits with a stay at Drumrunie. EPC Rating: Band F
The village of Braemar in Royal Deeside sits amongst some of the most beautiful scenery Scotland has to offer. Nestling in the River Dee valley within the Cairngorms National Park, Braemar and the area around it are a treasure trove for the outdoor enthusiast, boasting 24 Munros, the highest 18-hole golf course in the country and close proximity to the Glenshee Ski Centre. The village offers plentiful opportunities for relaxation as well in the many cafes, shops and restaurants. The famous Highland Gathering in September, a favourite of Queen Elizabeth, is a spectacular feast of highland games, music and dancing. Inverness, Aberdeen and Perth are a great day out, are accessed through great scenery, and are well worth a visit. Royal Deeside boasts many rare wildlife and plant species such as capercaillie, roe deer, red squirrels and golden eagles. With Braemar and Balmoral Castles and the Royal Lochnagar Distillery in this area, there is indeed something for everyone in this delightful part of Scotland.
