1 Bedroom Cottage in Ross
Our little cottage is located in the village of Ross. Walking distance to the Ross Historic Empire Pub and to the Ross store.
Our home has a lovely Queen bed and bath. Studio kitchen. Private patio, we will allow dogs with Peggy's approval.
Ross is the beginning, (or end), of the west coast cycle trail. At the moment our historic bridge is closed. We're working hard to get that problem resolved! Please visit our lovely information center. Do a bit of Gold Panning, lovely local gifts and a lovely hike going out the back. It is an old Gold mining track. Takes you into the historic cemetery with fabulous views. Take a picnic and some vino!
Lastly, don't forget to go down to our lovely and quiet beach! You come out of the cottage, turn left down the main street and take it all the way down to the ocean. An easy bike ride. Fabulous sunsets. Swimming? Not sure about that. It can be a bit rough, maybe if you are a very good swimmer. We do have some rips. dogs are allowed on the beach, but please be careful, as we do get the odd penguin and seals taking a rest!!! We DO NOT want them disturbed!!
The river does have some great swimming holes and that's where most of us locals go. There is a gravel road that intersects Beach Road, unlabeled, but it's the only road that intersects Beach Road. Can't miss it. It will take you down to our Historic Bridge, and the river!
