'Getndare' is a perfect relaxing getaway for couples. Stunning views to Mt Wellington, Cathedral Rock, Mt Montague and Thark Ridge over looking a pond teeming with frogs, birds and water lilies . Located only 10 minutes from Kingston, less than 5 minutes to the motorway that leads to either The Huon Valley or back to Kingston and Hobart. A great base to explore Southern Tasmania.
The space
Heated and cooled by a split system, this double glazed and north facing cabin is a cosy getaway. Garden plantings provide privacy and nestles it into a rural bush setting . There is a large upstairs bedroom with comfy queen size bed and a single bed. Downstairs the daybed for reading, relaxing and daydreaming, can be made up into a single bed if required to suit a family.
A great space for children with a trampoline, teepee and sandpit on the property.
Guest access
The surrounding paddock has a golf pitching range with clubs and balls provided. We encourage guests to use these facilities but to shut the gates. There are sheep grazing in these paddocks periodically.
Other things to note
There are two houses on the large property, ‘Getndare Cabin’ and ‘Getndare Mud-brick Cottage’ which are both on short stay accommodation. Plantings provide privacy but the trampoline, teepee and sandpit are shared between the two dwellings. There is also a pond so children need to be supervised. The cabin has Wi-Fi and tv with chrome cast. We would consider pets and longer stays at special rates.
