The Shed bakes in all day sun with stunning river and ocean views in the idyllic village of Taieri Mouth just 30 minutes from Dunedin & 20 minutes from Dunedin Airport 3 spacious bedrooms upstairs, 3 bathrooms and a fabulous games rooms & spare room downstairs makes for a great retreat The Shed sits upon a rock face with direct access to the beach in the quaint fishing village of Taieri Mouth. After two years of renovations, the Shed has transformed into the perfect coastal getaway. Fully furnished with an eclectic mix of new and recycled furniture and wares from finds during the renovation, the Shed maintains a rustic feel with a cosy dressing. A great winter retreat with a wood burner and throws watching the southern storms from the large window seat, or enjoy the spacious wrap around deck in Summer with ample seating and outdoor eating enjoying the last of the sun. Guests can access all spaces (except the lock up garage downstairs). We have private beach access and ample car parking I live 30 minutes from The Shed and available if you need to contact me Features of Taieri Mouth are the views and the stunning beaches/river walks. There is an amazing native bush walk over the bridge called The Millennium Track. You can access the beach directly and walk towards Moturata Island and views down the coast towards Dunedin City. There is no shop or petrol station. The closest is over the hill 10 minutes to Waihola on State Highway 1 or 10 minutes to Brighton village where there is a shop and cafe. Closest supermarket is either in Green Island or if your are travelling from the south, Milton. Car is the best way to get to Taieri Mouth/The Shed. You can bike 17 km to Brighton (closest village with a shop and cafe) or over the hill to Waihola, similar distance. There are no window dressings in the master bedroom. It is private but we enjoy the stunning night sky and waking to natural light. If you like a darker room, please bring your own sleep mask. There are blinds in the 3 guest bedrooms
