The Neighborhood:
Stockbridge and Comely Bank is one of the most desirable areas in Edinburgh. Stockbridge is spoilt for choice in terms of independent cafes, bakery and restaurants, not to mention the bars. It even has its own market every Sunday. There's independent shops, vintage shops and even a chocolate shop! My favourite park in Edinburgh is in Stockbridge, Inverleith park, with amazing views towards the castle. If you wander through the park it will take you to the Edinburgh Botanical gardens, which is well worth a visit. the apartment is 5 minutes walk to the nearest grocery store, Waitrose, selling great produce. It takes around 10 minutes on the bus to the city center.
Getting Around:
I recommend down loading the Lothian bus app. It has a great route planner, and the Edinburgh bus service is very good. Edinburgh also has a tram service which takes you from the city center to the airport. As Edinburgh is relatively small city taxis are also inexpensive.
