Our shack is in the heart of Bruny Island only 15 minutes from the ferry terminal, only a short walk to the beach, Bruny Island Cheese and Beer Co. and Get Shucked Oysters. It’s the perfect spot for you to slow down, lose track of the days and get back in touch with the small pleasures in life.
The space
A private Bruny Island Oasis in Great Bay!
Your stay has all the comforts you need for your beachside vacay, including a modern kitchen with a simple pantry, air-conditioning, outdoor fire pit and beautiful bush setting for your privacy. Concertina doors and windows bring the outside in, maximising additional entertaining area onto a timber deck. An electric awning extends over the deck providing shade in the summertime and ambient lighting in the evenings, making it the perfect space to relax or entertain all year round.
Two of the three bedrooms open through glass sliders to the deck with queen beds, and the third bedroom has two single beds.
Our shack is fully fenced and gated, making it a great stay for you, your children and even your furry friend. Located on over half an acre, you can explore the site where wallabies, native hens and other wildfire are often seen grazing.
A typical weekend might start by taking the kayak out for a morning paddle in Great Bay, followed by a bike-ride to one of the nearby eateries or a trail walk in the beautiful walking tracks on Bruny Island. Laze away the afternoon getting lost in a good book on the deck. For dinner we love to crack a bottle of vino, light the fire pit and prepare a beautiful home cook meal.
Bruny Island is one of those special places where you can kick off your shoes and really switch off. It can be as active or relaxed as you want it to be. We hope you enjoy the area and our home as much as we do.
