Positive: From start to finish, this was the perfect retreat, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at High Clachan farmhouse. The clear communication and directions to the farmhouse were spot on. The farmhouse was warm and very comfortable with every amenity considered. The Welcome Pack was a nice touch, including the yummy brownies and shortbread. The log burning stove was a real treat on a couple of evenings. The layout of the farmhouse was excellent for our family as well as our dog with plenty of well-defined spaces. The Information Booklet was very informative and again covered everything we could ask for. The Corsewall Estate was stunning with various walks and gorgeous views. We encountered a fantastic bird of prey landing on a tree within a few yards on our first walk. The paths were well defined and maintained. There was plenty to do and see within the estate. Our hosts Kate and Angus were very attentive to ensure we enjoyed our holiday to the fullest. This was our first trip to Stranraer, and High Clachan farmhouse was a great location for touring. The whole area is teeming with stunning views, amazing wildlife, and beautiful beaches along with the many interesting and historic locations. Absolutely superb!

Negative: The week went in too quickly, and we ran out of time to do everything we planned to do!

Summary: Fantastic Spring holiday for 3 generations and the dog!
