Positive: Situated in the quiet village of Benderloch, Callanish Bothy is an annexe to the owners'home and is much bigger than the name suggests. The kitchen/dining area/lounge are open plan, but with plenty of space and storage and have a light and airy feel. Being June, there was no opportunity to try the wood-burner, but I can imagine it giving a very cosy feel in cooler months. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage space.in the large wardrobe. The kitchen was also very well equipped.The area is quiet, but close to several walks and a good beach, whilst having easy access to other amenities in Oban, including ferries to the islands. Gillian and Ernie welcomed me on arrival, then left me to enjoy the Bothy as a home from home. All in all, I'd be delighted to recommend the Bothy to friends and family.
